Why Choose Chauffeured Services Ltd for Your Airport Transfers this Summer

Why Choose Chauffeured Services Ltd for Your Airport Transfers this Summer

Why Choose Chauffeured Services Ltd for Your Airport Transfers this Summer

The sun has been in and out across the UK the past week or so, and that means summer is finally here! The UK weather is not very predictable (think we can all agree on that!), so many of you have probably got a summer holiday booked abroad for a week or two over the summer months.

Choosing how to get to and from the UK airport you are flying from is an important decision. You could get friends or family to drop you off, drive yourself, take public transport or book a taxi. But the best decision by far is to book a chauffeur with Chauffeured Services Ltd.

Here are a few reasons why you should choose us over other methods of transportation and other chauffeuring companies:

1. Our drivers are highly experienced in airport transfers.

Airports aren’t the easiest to navigate, especially the big ones such as Heathrow. Each one has their own difficulties in getting to and around. Our drivers have vast knowledge, experience and confidence in dealing with airport transfers, so you can be confident they’ll get you to the right place at the right time. Helping you get there on time and stress free!

2.  You will get a first-class service.

When you book with us, you’ll realise that we’re not just any chauffeuring company. We provide our customers with a service that keeps them coming back time and time again. We’ll help you with your luggage, open your door, check you have your passport and other important travel documents (nothing worse than arriving at the airport without these!), and drive you safely to the airport. When you arrive back in the UK, we’ll meet you in the arrivals hall, take your bags and offer you the opportunity to get a coffee or freshen up before the drive home. The perfect start and end to your holiday!

3. We are punctual.

Punctuality is key when it comes to airport transfers. We make sure all our customers arrive for their flights in plenty of time – you won’t be seen running to the gate like in some movies! When you return, we will monitor all of your flights so we know if you are delayed, on time, or early. So you can be confident we’ll be in the arrivals hall ready to take your bags and take you home.

4. We offer transfers to any UK airport.

We offer airport transfers from London and the Home Counties to any UK airport, and provide transfers for both commercial flights and private flights. Our most popular airport transfers are to London airports including Heathrow (LHR), London City (LCY), Stansted (STN), Gatwick (LGW) and Luton (LTN), but we can also take you to midland and northern airports such as Birmingham (BHX) and East Midlands (EMA).

We hope these four reasons have shown you why booking an airport transfer with Chauffeured Services Ltd is the best option for your holiday abroad this summer. Wishing you a safe, fun and relaxing trip from all of our team!

Ten Top London Shows and Musicals

The centre of London is a fantastic place to visit, whether you are visiting from hundreds of miles away or live on the outskirts of the Capital. It is predicted that there will be 38.2 million inbound visitors throughout 2017 according to Visit Britain. Here are the top 10 shows and musicals in London (in no particular order) according to Visit London:

  4. Les Misérables at the Queen’s Theatre. A global sensation – seen by more than 70 million people worldwide. The second longest running show in the West End.
  5. Matilda the Musical at the Cambridge Theatre. A show perfect for the whole family! Roald Dahl’s truly loved story brought to life by The Royal Shakespeare Company.
  6. The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre. Also fantastic for the whole family, featuring music by Elton John and outstanding costumes and special effects. A must-see, award-winning show!

  9. Kinky Boots at the Adelphi Theatre. An uplifting musical based on a true story. Features music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper.

How to Beat Jet Lag

How to Beat Jet Lag

One of the worst things that comes with long haul flights is jet lag! Getting the midnight munchies, lying there awake at 4am, then in the day time falling asleep whilst eating your dinner – your body just can’t cope with the change in time zone.

Our bodies really don’t like changing time zones as it totally messes with its circadian rhythms. If you’ve ever experienced it before, you’ll know jet lag consists of extreme fatigue, loss of appetite, bowel problems and concentration issues.

So if you’re travelling long haul this summer, whether for business or leisure, what’s the best way to avoid jet lag? Whilst there’s no guarantee way, here’s a few tried and tested ways to prevent jet lag:

1. Try to choose a flight time that arrives at your destination in the evening.

If you choose to land in the evening, you’re more likely to naturally go to sleep as you arrive (it’s been a long journey remember). This should get your trip off to a good start, and does wonders to help you adjust to the new time zone.

2. Avoid driving as soon as you land.

Driving whilst tired is never a good idea, as your concentration levels are not as strong as normal. It’ll also wake you up more, increasing your jet lag if you’ve landed in the evening as suggested above. Book a transfer to your destination instead of hiring a vehicle. For your transfer in the UK, take advantage of Chauffeured Services – first class, luxury chauffeuring services from London and the Home Counties to any UK airport!

3. Avoid alcohol.

One of the best, but also most ignored, jet lag preventing tips! If you’re flying for leisure, we know you’ll probably want a cheeky beer or gin & tonic to start off your holiday in the airport. But if you’re travelling for business, give this a try and see if it helps. The effects of alcohol at high altitude increases tiredness and makes you dehydrated – making jet lag even worse.

4. Set your watch.

After you have boarded the plane, set your watch to the time it is in your destination location. This will psychologically adjust your brain to the new time zone, and should help reset your circadian rhythms.

5. If you’re feeling sleepy, have a power nap.

You don’t want to have a long nap in the day time when you’re feeling sleepy, this will make your jet lag even worse. If you need to have a sleep to refresh your brain, have a 20-minute or 30-minute power nap. This will help you become more alert and help you make it through the day to the time you need to go to sleep to fit into the new time zone.

6. Ensure you don’t have a packed schedule the day or day after you arrive.

Whilst this isn’t always possible, try to have a fairly relaxed first 24 hours. If you’re travelling for leisure, don’t plan any sightseeing for the first couple of days to give your body time to adjust to the new time zone. If you’re travelling for business, try to arrive a couple of days before any big important meetings (it doesn’t look too good if you fall asleep in important meetings anyway!).

7. Avoid coffee, energy drinks, and other caffeinated beverages.

These will affect your ability to sleep, and are likely to increase the duration of your jet lag. Stay off the caffeine and increase your water intake – hydration has been proven to offset the effects of jet lag!

We hope you have found these tips useful, and that it helps with your jet lag on your next long haul flight!

Our Top 5 Wedding Planning Tips

Our Top 5 Wedding Planning Tips

Getting married is something we’ve all dreamt about since being a child (certainly for women anyway!). We’ve all dreamt about our dream partner, our dream wedding day and our dream honeymoon. But making those dreams a reality is often much harder than you first think!

Once you’ve met your perfect partner and become engaged, then comes the fun of wedding planning. There’s so many things to think about – date, location, number of guests, flowers, transportation…the list is never ending!

Whilst Chauffeured Services Ltd can’t help with all of the things on this list, one thing we can help with is wedding transportation. We have a fantastic fleet of luxury vehicles available at a fraction of the cost of traditional wedding cars. All reliable and flash, and available for transportation within London and the Home Counties.

To help you with your wedding planning, we’ve put together our top 5 tips. Take these on board and you’ll be on your way to your perfect wedding!

1. Budget for everything. With a list the length of your arm (or even longer!), spending can get out of hand if you’re not careful. Don’t spend anything until you’ve set a realistic budget, and remember to factor the honeymoon into this. Factor in all the little things too – as although they may seem insignificant, they do add up!

2. Work out who you want to invite early on. Your location choices depend heavily on the number of guests you are inviting. Decide on the number of guests first, then look at locations. Ideally, allow 25 to 30 square feet per guest at your reception venue. This takes into account the space you’ll need for tables, the entertainment and the all important dance floor. You may need to consider being selective too, as costs per head is often one of your biggest expenses!

 3. Be realistic with your time. With the massive list of things to do, ensure you leave enough time to actually complete all the things on the list! Plan logically and prioritise the most important things. Venues, photography and entertainment are three things that get booked up way in advance, so these should be near the top of your list.

4. Think about every eventuality. You don’t want anything to go wrong on your big day, so it’s important to have a plan in place in case something crops up. Whilst it’s not possible to have a plan B for everything, plan alternatives for major scenarios to ensure you’re not left stressed out and panicking on the day.

5. Plan together. Whilst it’s commonly known that women have big dreams for their wedding day, men do too! Listen to each others ideas and opinions, and plan together. It’s a good idea that once you’ve made the important decisions, to each have your own responsibilities when it comes to making it happen. Split the work load to save time and stress!

We hope these help you plan a special day that you’ll treasure forever, and a big congratulations in advance from all the team at Chauffeured Services Ltd!

Why Book a Chauffeur for Travel To and From the Airport for your Holiday Abroad

Why Book a Chauffeur for Travel To and From the Airport for your Holiday Abroad

The months are ticking by and we are slowly approaching summer (at last!). We’re sure many of you are counting down the days to your summer holiday or are thinking about booking one if you haven’t done so already.

Us Brit’s are big holiday lovers, with 86% of Britons saying they took a holiday either at home or abroad in the 12 months leading up to August 2016 according to ABTA’s Holiday Habits Report 2016. In addition, this report also showed that 56% of people took a holiday abroad, with the average number of foreign holidays per person being 1.4. British holidaymakers favourite holiday destinations include Spain (mainland and its various islands), Frances, Greece and the USA.

When it comes to getting to the airport to jet off to these beautiful destinations, you have several options. You can drive yourself and pay for parking at the airport; use public transport – be it a train, the tube, bus or coach; jump in a taxi; get a friend to drop you off; or you could hire a chauffeur.

Here are 3 reasons why we think you should hire a chauffeur for your airport transfers:

1. Save time

Foreign travel is time consuming, there’s no avoiding that. If you’re travelling on a commercial airline you’re bound to end up waiting to check your bags in, waiting to get through security, waiting for your flight and waiting for baggage claim at the other side. Add waiting for a taxi or public transport onto that, and that’s a lot of waiting around! When you book a chauffeur through us, we’ll be on time to pick you up and be as accurate as we can on transfer times. So you can just get in the car and go – simple!

2. Reduce hassle and stress.

If you choose to drive yourself, or even take public transport, you’ve got a lot to be thinking about on your journey to the airport. Traffic, directions, parking, getting on the right train…the list goes on – and you’ve got all these things to deal with on your return too! When you choose to book a chauffeur, we deal with all this for you so you can sit back and enjoy extra relaxation time, and we’ll make sure you get to the airport in plenty of time too. Start your holiday on the way to the airport!

3. Door to door service.

When taking public transport, there’s no chance you’ll be able to step onto the public transport you need straight out of your front door (unless you’re really lucky!). That can mean longer transfer times, walking and all in all more hassle! Take a chauffeur and we’ll pick you up from your home or choice of location, and drop you off at the correct terminal for your flight. On the way back, we will also monitor your flights so we know if you are delayed or early. Therefore, you can be assured that we are ready and waiting for you as soon as you step off the plane ready to take your back to your home.

Here at Chauffeured Services, we offer a luxury airport transfer services to any UK airport including London (LHR), London City (LCY), Stansted (STN), Gatwick (LGW), Luton (LTN), Birmingham (BHX) and East Midlands (EMA) from anywhere in the Home Counties and London. Enjoy these great benefits by booking with us for your upcoming holiday!

4 Reasons Why You Should Hire a Chauffeur – For Business or For Leisure

4 Reasons Why You Should Hire a Chauffeur – For Business or For Leisure

We’ll collect you and drop you off wherever you choose, and ensure you get home safely too. If you’d rather travel in your car, one of our chauffeurs can drive it for you – just ask for our driver-only service.

There’s nothing worse than busy or dirty public transport so it’s a no brainer really!
  1. You can work whilst travelling. In business time is money, we all know that! If you drive yourself or take another form of transport, it is usually not possible for you to work on the go. Whether you take full advantage of our chauffeuring service, or get one of our chauffeurs to drive your car, you can make phone calls, check emails and catch up with work on the go. It’s perfect for last minute meeting preparations too! 6 Business Travel Packing Tips

6 Business Travel Packing Tips

For many businesses, business travel is inevitably an important part of allowing your business to work with other businesses internationally.

Here at Chauffeured Services we offer a luxury airport transfer service from the Home Counties and London to all London and Midlands airports, with many of our customers using our services for business travel.

Packing for business travel requires a different approach than packing to go on holiday. If you travel a lot for business, you need to know how to efficiently and effectively pack for your trips.

So to help you, we have put together 6 top business travel packing tips for a stress-free business trip:

1. Plan ahead.

Packing last minute is likely to result in you forgetting something essential (we’ve all been there!). Look at your itinerary for the trip, and plan your packing from that. Decide your outfits before-hand so you don’t end up taking unnecessary items of clothing, and be sure to check the weather in your destination location for the duration of your trip so you choose outfits accordingly.

2. Avoid checking in luggage where possible.

Try to fit all your luggage in a carry-on bag. This saves time at both ends of the flight – no need to arrive as early for your flight and no waiting around for baggage claim at the other end. In business, time is money so your time is definitely better off being spent elsewhere! Airlines differ with the size of bag and weight of bag you can take on board, so check this before you travel to avoid having to check the bag in.

3. Keep the essentials packed.

If you travel frequently for business, keep your toiletries packed at all times. This will save you a lot of time in the long run. Remember, liquid items must go in a clear Ziploc bag if you are taking them through security. Place this in an easily accessible place to save time in airport security.

4. Layer your suitcase.

Often in business travel, you don’t stay in one place for a long time so there’s no point unpacking your suitcase at every hotel. Layer your outfits according to what you need the soonest on top and the latest on the bottom. Preparation is key!

5. Reduce paper – including books, newspapers and business documents.

All these things can consume a lot of space and weight when it comes to packing. In the technological world we live in, most of these things can be accessed from your laptop or smartphone. If you like to read, download books onto your smartphone or tablet. News can be accessed online. If you need to take business documents, consider having them shipped to the destination beforehand or locally print them if possible.

6. Always bring backups!

No matter how careful you are, things can get lost – whether it’s your own fault or not! Many of us only learn the lesson of bringing backups through experience, but why not learn the lesson beforehand? Have a scan of your driver’s license, passport, visas, and credit cards on the SD card of your smartphone or on a hard drive.

Take on board these packing tips, enjoy a luxury transfer from your home to the airport with Chauffeured Services Ltd, and you’ll be well on your way to a stress-free and successful business trip!

Why a Chauffeur for Business Makes Sense

Why a Chauffeur for Business Makes Sense

We all hire different people and services for different reasons. Maybe we need a PA, cleaner, nanny or staff for the office. They are all genuine reasons that fulfil particular requirements and exactly the same principle applies when it comes to hiring a chauffeur for your business.

Hiring a chauffeur whether on a regular or more irregular basis makes sense. Whether you need to get to a meeting, catch a plane from the airport or you have an important engagement to get to, the hiring of a chauffeur ensures you get to where you need to get to on time, with efficiency and completely stress free.

Here are 3 reasons you should consider a chauffeur for your business:

Time is Money

We have all heard the saying “time is money.” There is no doubt that this true. We all have the same amount of hours in the day but the way that we use these hours can often determine the success of that day.

When you drive yourself somewhere that costs you time which means it costs you money. How much is that time worth to you? It might be you use public transport or a combination of different methods of transport to get to where you are going. This can soon become inconvenient and pricey.

What about the option of getting from door to door in style, efficiently and without the hassle? Not only that, when you are on the journey you can use that time much more wisely. It’s a much better use of your time and will be more cost effective than you think.

Keeps you sharp

Taking different methods of transport or driving yourself from A to B, comes with differing degrees of hassle. More often than not, it is not stress free.

When driven by a chauffeur suddenly all that hassle is removed and you can use that time as you wish. Whether you need to work or get those last minute preparations done for the meeting you are on your way to, maybe you need to catch your breath or have a power nap? The power of that time is put in your hands.

What it does mean, is that when you hire a chauffeur you get to where you are going, without the stress and hassle meaning you will be sharper and more prepared for what is to come.

Travel can become a pleasure

It can be easy to think that booking a chauffeur is an indulgence. Whether that is true or not is certainly up for debate but there is no doubt it’s a pleasurable experience. What is the problem with that?

Instead of travel being a challenge, maybe it’s time to turn it on its head to become something of a pleasure. This could prove to be one of the most sensible moves you make. It can add value to your day and be a simple step that produces many benefits for both you and your business.
